History: Alena grew up in a busy home, with both of her parents spending most of their time at work to support her and her older brother and send them to a private academy. However, when together, her parents’ relationship was fraught with arguments and threats of divorce that never amounted to more than that.
Alena felt bored with her life and unfulfilled, unsure of what exactly she wanted to do and lacking any real passion. She felt like there was no real challenge to her life or any real reason to do anything but just get by on the bare minimum, making her way through high school and college without much ambition. She found refuge in online chatrooms and games before discovering Coven Online. For the first time, Alena found a community of people she could genuinely connect with. She joined the Diamondbacks, a coven of occultists. She grew very close with them, adopting the Black Widow spider theme for her armor skins and hair color to go with the theme of predators.
She was online the night of May 7th and morning of May 8th when she received the invitation to become a Beta Tester. Her current ambition is to become the top-ranked player in the test, hearing that anyone who can beat the current Omega can talk to the GMs in control of the test. It is the first time she ever set a long term goal for herself. Overall, she is more suspicious about people's intentions and at first seems cold and calculating. Earning her trust can be a difficult task. But once earned, only outright betrayal would break it.She quickly became disillusioned at the "fun" idea of Iliad Rising's Beta test, and distrusts the GMs, Arcadens in particular. She hopes that by beating the current Omega, she might be able to get answers about what exactly the Beta test is meant to accomplish, and ask for it to end--or at least spring her from it and release her from the T&C. So far, she has made a few in roads to accomplishing this task.
